Polecam

Polecam is an award winning, unique, lightweight and very portable single operator broadcast camera crane (1.5 to 8 metre reach) weighing a maximum of 20 Kg.
Polecam is designed specifically around small remote head broadcast cameras. Whether mounted on a tripod or the supplied body harness, it provides smooth, floating crane shots with the ability to relocate with ease and speed.
It can be rigged without tools in just ten minutes and packs away into two bags, allowing it to be transported and used just about anywhere including studios, wilderness, on a track & dolly, on boats or even on a jeep or motorbike.
Polecam gets you crane shots without the hassles of conventional cranes, raises production values and gets you shots you just couldn’t get any other way. 

The Remote Control Panel is an essential extra when Polecam is used in multi camera situations. It allows the engineer total control of all camera functions, iris contol, two tally lights as well as remote pan and tilt of the Polecam head allowing un-attended distance control. Utilising uni- or bi-directional data down a standard audio cable up to 300m. 

Fishface, is a completely submersible pan & tilt unit and camera housing sold as an alternative head for the rig. The head can be used to a depth of around 4 metres on the Polecam although it can be used in a stand alone environment up to a depth of 10 metres.

Polecam normally uses a prime wide angle lens to gain the benefit of a very wide depth of focus. Occasionally there will be a need for a zoom, so Polecam is developing an HD 10:1 lens, available this year.
